Podcast Cover Art
Give the voice of your show a visual counterpart.
Discuss an illustrated cover by Adelya for a new podcast or a new chapter of an existing one. A portrait, character or conceptual image can introduce the subject without falling back on a generic microphone.
Discuss your podcast artworkExplore illustration directionsThe host. The subject.
The feeling of the show.
A portrait-led cover
For a show closely connected to its host, an illustrated face can become the central image. Recognition, expression and the relationship with the title matter more than filling every corner.
A conceptual cover
An object, character or unexpected visual connection can suggest the show’s subject and tone. Explain the editorial angle so the illustration has a more specific job than simply naming the category.
A connected asset set
Episode artwork, guest portraits and promotional versions can share a visual direction. List these from the beginning so the main cover leaves room for a useful wider system.
Tell Adelya what
listeners come back for.
A show can be thoughtful without looking solemn, or funny without reducing itself to a joke. Share an episode, a trailer or a short description of its rhythm. Who speaks, who listens and what makes this conversation different?
Include the exact title and any required host or network wording. Explain what should be noticed first, what can be secondary and what should not appear. The illustration and lettering need to work together rather than compete for attention.
The work shown here demonstrates conceptual and portrait approaches from Adelya’s portfolio. It is not presented as previous podcast-client work. Your cover would be developed around your own show, with the suitability and deliverables agreed first.
Artwork alone?
Or the whole cover composition?
Specify whether your designer needs an illustration asset or a finished layout including the title. Additional lettering, logo development, guest variations and editable episode templates should be named in the quote.
Provide the current specifications from your hosting or distribution platform. Required dimensions, formats and any text constraints should be confirmed before final exports are prepared. Review the composition at a small display size as well as at full resolution.
A cover, a website banner and a vertical announcement are different shapes. List each adaptation instead of assuming that one crop will serve every channel.
The show in a few sentences.
Send its name, subject, intended audience and an example episode or synopsis. Add the launch date, existing visual identity, required assets and a budget range. Reference two or three portfolio pieces and explain what attracts you to them.
For a redesign, share the old cover and say what should remain recognisable. For a network or season, explain how the new image needs to sit beside the existing shows.
This service concerns visual artwork. Recording, editing, music, hosting, distribution and audience growth are not included by default.
Put this direction into a useful brief.
Bring a relevant portfolio example and describe what you like about it: the handling of colour, the expression, the texture or the composition. Then describe your own subject and where the artwork will appear. The reference starts the discussion; the new work is developed for your particular purpose.

1. Define the direction
Review the show, audience, formats and asset list. Agree the scope, rights, review stages and schedule.
2. Sketch the composition
Consider the image and title together. Resolve the central idea, crop and hierarchy before the final treatment.
3. Finish & export
Develop the approved artwork and deliver the agreed files and adaptations. Further episodes or new uses can be scoped separately.
Podcast artwork questions.
Can you include a portrait of the host?
Share clear references and the desired treatment. The number of people, background and degree of stylization affect the scope.
Is the title design included?
Only when the complete cover layout is part of the order. Illustration assets and a finished composition with lettering are different deliverables.
Can you create episode variants?
Include the expected number and what changes between episodes. Replacing text, drawing new guests and making new compositions require different work.
What does podcast cover art cost?
The concept, subject, complexity, layout work, adaptations and licence determine the quote. Send the brief rather than choosing an unrelated fixed-price package.
Can the cover appear in paid advertising?
Describe advertising, merchandise and other uses before ordering so the written licence covers them. See the current terms.
What should the image sound like?
Send the show, its audience and the artwork you need for launch.
