Artwork for the space

A characterful poster, a related series or a larger illustration concept. The subject and scale can respond to the room rather than filling an empty rectangle with an unrelated picture.

Food & menu images

Illustrated dishes, drinks and ingredients can sit alongside menu descriptions or lead a seasonal feature. Plan the artwork with the text so both remain useful.

Packaging & brand assets

A motif can connect a takeaway sleeve, label, bag or promotional image. Each application receives the composition and export it needs, within the agreed asset list.

A small series
for a particular place.

Adelya made Coffee Cats as a set of posters for a friend’s coffee shop in Sarafovo, a Bulgarian seaside town. The brief was about the feeling of that café: warm, comfortable pictures that belonged with its atmosphere.

The published project brings the illustrations together with presentation images and a process video. The cats and cups form a related family rather than repeating one image without variation.

Your restaurant may ask for a different tone entirely. It could be lively, restrained, playful or focused on a specific ingredient. Show the space and the food, and explain what makes the place feel like itself.

The scope and timing of that individual project are not a preset package for new commissions. Your quote is built around your actual requirements.

One subject can
work beyond the wall.

The Rasa takeaway image explores how the shrimp artwork could become a repeating packaging motif. It is a studio concept, not another restaurant client or an item already in production.

For a real rollout, identify the materials you need at launch and what can follow later. A small first set may establish the visual direction; additional menu items, packaging sizes or promotional images can then be scoped with continuity in mind.

Bring the existing logo and guidelines, printer templates, final dimensions and approved wording. The restaurant team remains responsible for menu facts, prices and dietary information. Illustration should support that information, not imply it has been independently verified.

Put this direction into a useful brief.

Bring a relevant portfolio example and describe what you like about it: the handling of colour, the expression, the texture or the composition. Then describe your own subject and where the artwork will appear. The reference starts the discussion; the new work is developed for your particular purpose.

Start with the atmosphere.
Keep production in view.

1. Space & purpose

Share photographs, audience, menu or product context and an asset list. Include budget, launch dates and the production team.

2. Direction & sketches

Agree the main illustration approach and review it in the intended setting. Resolve composition and message before extending a series.

3. Finish & prepare

Develop approved artwork and the specified adaptations. Printing, framing, fabrication and installation are separate unless explicitly included.

Restaurant illustration questions.

Can we commission just one poster?

Yes, a single artwork can be discussed independently of a wider identity or interior project. Share its intended size, placement and subject.

Can you work with our designer and printer?

Provide their requirements and agree the division of responsibilities. Artwork assets, complete menu layout and production-ready packaging are different deliverables.

Do you paint murals on site?

Site work and travel need a separate availability review. An illustration or mural-design commission does not automatically include physical painting or installation.

Can the same artwork be used at several locations?

List the locations and uses before ordering. The licence and adaptation scope should cover the intended rollout.

What determines cost and timing?

Asset count, complexity, formats, production requirements, usage and review stages. Allow for printing and installation after final-art approval.

Will illustration improve sales?

No sales or footfall result is guaranteed. The work is developed around the agreed creative purpose and intended use. See the current terms.

What makes yours different?

Send the space, the food and the artwork you have in mind.
